When I started to look at dentistry with a different perspective, I realized that many substances we use in our practices can contain components harmful to our general health. While marketing dental materials, it is emphasized that they are very easy to apply, aesthetic and durable. In classical dentistry, we tend to choose with these criteria. In biological dentistry, the point we keep in mind is that oral health is a part of general health. That’s why I take care not to spoil the nature as much as possible and to be respectful to it in my own applications and material selection.
Some of the materials used in dentistry that can adversely affect general health are metal bridges, titanium implants, BPA-containing fillings, toxic canal filling materials …
In our clinic, we prefer ceramic materials instead of metals that contain metals such as nickel, chromium, cobalt and can pass through the surrounding tissues and body by corroding, porcelain or alternative filling materials instead of filling materials containing BPA, ceramic (zirconium / zirconia) implants and biocompatible canal filling materials instead of titanium implants. . In surgeries, we try to use the PRF obtained from the patient’s own blood and his own bone as much as possible.
You can ask all the questions you have about the materials during the examination. We believe everyone has the right to know what material will enter their body.
